Our history

At the beginning…

Banque Palatine has its roots in the merging of several large merchant banks:

• Vernes & Compagnie, which was founded in 1780, merged with Banque Commerciale de Paris…
• …to become Banque Vernes et Commerciale de Paris (BVCP). In 1989 it changed its name to Banque Sanpaolo
• Between 1990 and 2001, the bank successively took over branches of Banque Française Commerciale, Banque Veuve Morin-Pons, Banque du Phénix and Banque Générale du Commerce.
  

 

Since 2003…

Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne becomes 60% shareholders, witch it increased to 100% in 2008.

 

In 2005…

it took on the name Banque Palatine.

And today…

Banque Palatine is able to offer the very best services in merchant banking and asset management.

In France, Banque Palatine has more than 50 branches and over 130 000 business and private clients.
